Dementia

Christadelphian Aged Care has been providing communities with premium, holistic aged care for over 65 years. They are a charitable not-for-profit organisation whose funds are all reinvested into caring for their residents and ensuring that their facilities support each individual’s emotional, physical and spiritual needs. Christadelphian are dedicated to accommodating each resident’s unique needs, concerns and interests.

THE D&C

Due to the excellent level of personalised care they provide, Christadelphian required a space that was comfortable, attractive and had the residents’ well-being in mind whilst adhering to strict aged care facility regulations. inOne Projects took the time to appropriately create an environment built to reduce distress for people with dementia. Wide arrays of bright colours were used in order to enable residents to easily identify different areas, such as the shower, cupboards and doorways. All doors and furniture had to be easily visible and effortlessly differentiated from the interior colours. Wide arrays of bright colours were used in order to enable residents to easily identify different areas, such as the shower, cupboards and doorways. All doors and furniture had to be easily visible and effortlessly differentiated from the interior colours. The lighting in the bulkheads is subtly incorporated into the space to calm residents and bring more colour and ambience into the room, aiding resident’s comfort. We put a lot of emphasis on ensuring that the residents are kept occupied and feel comfortable being surrounded by items familiar to them for example, the 50-60s style kitchen.
